IntelliClick version 9.8.6 just released for GoldMine

This latest IntelliClick release introduces the ability to Create Dynamic Campaign Names. Now you can include data from GoldMine, appended to the campaign name, to track by that dynamic value. Examples of how this could be used include passing data from a field where you store sales rep, industry or other values and then view results based upon that field value. Results can be readily viewed in both the IntelliClick dashboards and reports. This feature is included with the PLUS or Premium subscription.

IntelliClick is GoldMine 2018.2 Ready!

It is important to note that the upcoming update release of GoldMine 2018.2.0.xxxx will be introducing several security features. As a result, it may be nessary for you to adjust some settings in both the IntelliClick Listener, IntelliSend module, Database access for use of SQL queries and Crystal Reports to insure those elements continue to function correctly. The change most likely to impact your IntelliClick setup relates to the password for the user CLICKS that is used as part of our connection to the GoldMine database when reading or updating information. Changes that you may need to make to that user password will require at minimum that this be updated in both the IntelliClick Listener and the IntelliSend module.

If you update to the new GoldMine 2018.2.0.xxxxx release, please make sure to review these instructions and make the settings adjustments as needed. IntelliClick Version 9.8.6 now released

The IntelliClick (this is the most popular email marketing solution for GoldMine) 9.8.6 version is now available. If you already have IntelliClick, the next time you access IntelliClick you may be prompted to update or you can do so now by clicking here. This latest release introduces the ability to Add New Campaign Waves. Now you can resend new waves of the same email template to other target lists and be able to compare results on each wave sent. This new feature is included with all versions of IntelliClick.

Our last release introduced the Standard PLUS version which includes a combination of modules that help your company manage subscription lists, privacy regulation readiness (GDPR, CASL, California), engagement scoring and offers a "Smart Cookie" Web Site tracking.

iGoldMine being discontinued

GoldMine have just announced that the iGoldMine product is being discontinued.  iGoldMine will still be supported however for existing users.  Any GoldMine User who is interested in setting up a new remote access capability along the lines of what iGoldMine did will instead be offered the identical product called Go-Global.

Bison chooses Riva to sync GoldMine with Microsoft Exchange

Bison Machinery Ltd., a specialist supplier of high quality metalworking machinery, chose Riva to integrate GoldMine and Microsoft Exchange. Integral to the project’s success was Riva’s ability to seamlessly and transparently sync GoldMine appointments and emails to the native calendar apps on mobile devices such as iPhones, iPads, and other smartphones and tablet PCs. The company’s sales and customer service teams can now concentrate on their work rather than manually archive emails.

Overview

Bison Machinery Logo Bison supplies high quality metalworking machinery for fabrication, sawing, engineering, and sheet metalwork. The company, headquartered in Stafford, UK, is a trusted partner of the sheet metal and fabrication industry. With a history dating back to the 1800s, the team of 25 employees benefits from the combined experience and product knowledge that has been passed down from generation to generation in this family-owned business.

The Challenge

Bison implemented their CRM of choice, GoldMine, in 2012. There is one administrator responsible for providing IT support for all sales and customer service employees in the company using GoldMine to record and archive client email correspondence and meetings.

To better integrate GoldMine into Bison’s daily workflow, the company tried using a plug-in for GoldMine with less than satisfying results. Rather than performing the sync tasks automatically as Bison needed, users had to archive emails manually. This created an additional workload for the users and resulted in less than optimal use of the company’s CRM.

Summary of challenges:

  • Plug-in wasn’t synchronizing automatically
  • Plug-in slowed down the systems
  • Users needed to archive emails manually
  • Email history in CRM was inconsistent
  • No way to automatically sync calendars and emails on multiple devices

Bison was searching for a way to seamlessly sync emails and calendars between their CRM and email systems which they considered crucial in optimizing the workflows of their sales and customer service staff.

The company wanted to have the option to archive emails in CRM as well. GoldMine partner and CRM specialists, Wizard Systems, recommended Riva to solve their sync and archiving issues.

The Solution

“We’ve found Riva to be an excellent product that just simply works. It saves us significant time now that we no longer have to manually link emails into GoldMine,” said Guy Bushnell, director, Bison Machinery Ltd.

Riva is now used by Bison to sync GoldMine and Microsoft Exchange for 14 employees – adding customer value, relieving all of the company’s pain points, and providing reliable, customer data automation for the company’s CRM and email systems.

Wizard Systems worked closely with Riva during the implementation process and managed all support requests on behalf of Bison. This made for a smooth and easy setup that did not require much in the way of involvement on the part of Bison.

The Results
