GoldMine Web and GoldMine Mobile are both remote access solutions for GoldMine CRM, but they have some key differences:

Availability and Support

GoldMine Web is the current and actively supported remote access solution for GoldMine. It was introduced as a replacement for GoldMine Mobile, which has been discontinued. GoldMine Web is included with GoldMine Premium Edition and is still actively supported, while GoldMine Mobile was discontinued and replaced by GoldMine Web in 2017.

Access Method

The two solutions differ in how users access GoldMine remotely. GoldMine Web is a browser-based application that can be accessed from any device with a modern web browser, including desktops, laptops, smartphones, and tablets. In contrast, GoldMine Mobile was specifically designed as a mobile app for iOS and Android devices.

Installation and Setup

The installation process differs between the two. GoldMine Web is installed on a Windows Server running IIS and doesn't require any software installation on end-user devices. GoldMine Mobile, on the other hand, required installation of a mobile app on each user's device.

Functionality

While both solutions provide remote access to GoldMine, there are some differences in functionality. GoldMine Web offers a broader range of features, closer to the full GoldMine Premium Edition experience, accessible through a web interface. GoldMine Mobile was more focused on providing essential CRM functions optimized for mobile devices.

Flexibility and Compatibility

GoldMine Web offers greater flexibility in terms of device and platform support. It's compatible with a wide range of desktop and mobile browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. It can be used on various operating systems, including iOS, Android, Windows, and macOS.  In summary, GoldMine Web represents the current and more versatile solution for remote access to GoldMine CRM, offering broader compatibility and a closer experience to the full GoldMine Premium Edition. It has effectively replaced the more limited, mobile-specific GoldMine Mobile application.

4. GoldMine Web
GoldMine Web is a web-based interface included with GoldMine that provides remote access to essential CRM functionality. Users can access contact records, calendars, and other key features through a web browser, making it a convenient option for remote workers who need basic CRM access on the go. However, GoldMine Web may have limited functionality compared to the full desktop application.

GoldMine 2021 is out!

GoldMine 2021.1 has been released and is available through Wizard Systems. Here's the highlights.

The GoldMine Link Add-in for Microsoft Outlook can be installed on a 64-bit Microsoft Office version. The GoldMine Plus can be installed on Microsoft Office on 32-bit only.

• The Custom Screens section within a contact record detail will now display all fields for the selected Custom Screen. The “show more” and “show less” links have been removed.
• Selecting/Clicking any area within the graphical calendar in the ACTIVITIES page will open the schedule activity view with “Appointment” as the default activity type instead of “Call”.
• Untimed activities in the “My Activities” section within the HOME page will now display the placeholder “no time”.
• A white spacer has been included between the “Recent Opportunities” and “Recent Cases” sections within the HOME page when either or both of these sections are expanded.
