Next release of IntelliClick for GoldMine due in March

The next release of IntelliClick is releasing in March and all IntelliClick users will be prompted to apply this update the next time they use the IntelliClick Wizard.

This update contains enhancement to IntelliSend merge & send performance. It also provides a more flexible way to flag the GoldMine database for mailing list opt-in. Users can now set the name of the mailing list (not just newsletters) to which the hyperlink will opt-in the email recipient and then update any designated GoldMine system or custom field and/or email merge code. This allows customers to further segment their database for future mailings or allow drip marketing using automated processes.

Pack more power into your next Marketing Campaign with IntelliClick for GoldMine and ACT!

There's thousands of e-mail marketing tools out there, but they all fail in one fundamental way - they're not linked to your sales process or your CRM database. Yes they can allow you to create an e-mail and send to your uploaded contacts and get some fancy reports out, but that's it. When you are on the phone to a customer, that's the time you need to know what e-mails they've been responding to and what pages on your web site they've visited.

IntelliClick is a GoldMine add-on tool (and now also available for ACT!) that allows personalised email campaigns to be sent and tracked directly from within GoldMine.

Join us for this on line presentation and see for yourself how easy it is to generate targeted email
campaigns from GoldMine and automatically track the results back in GoldMine!

GoldMine Tip: SQL Query to show duplicate records in seconds

Here's a great little SQL query to run on your GoldMine database to check and show 'obvious' duplicate records in seconds...

Select accountno, company, contact, Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Contact,'Miss ',''),'Mrs ',''),'Mr ',''),'Dr ',''),'&',''),'.',''),'(',''),')',''),',',''),' ','')+Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Company,'Limited',''),' Inc',''),' Inc.',''),' Ltd',''),'The ',''),' Plc',''),'&',''),'.',''),'-',''),'(',''),')',''),' ','')  'DupeString' from contact1 where

Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Contact,'Miss ',''),'Mrs ',''),'Mr ',''),'Dr ',''),'&',''),'.',''),'(',''),')',''),',',''),' ','')+Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Company,'Limited',''),' Inc',''),' Inc.',''),' Ltd',''),'The ',''),' Plc',''),'&',''),'.',''),'-',''),'(',''),')',''),' ','')
in
(
select
Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Contact,'Miss ',''),'Mrs ',''),'Mr ',''),'Dr ',''),'&',''),'.',''),'(',''),')',''),',',''),' ','')+Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Company,'Limited',''),' Inc',''),' Inc.',''),' Ltd',''),'The ',''),' Plc',''),'&',''),'.',''),'-',''),'(',''),')',''),' ','')
From Contact1
Group by
Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Contact,'Miss ',''),'Mrs ',''),'Mr ',''),'Dr ',''),'&',''),'.',''),'(',''),')',''),',',''),' ','')+Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Company,'Limited',''),' Inc',''),' Inc.',''),' Ltd',''),'The ',''),' Plc',''),'&',''),'.',''),'-',''),'(',''),')',''),' ','')
having count(*) > 1
)
order by Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Contact,'Miss ',''),'Mrs ',''),'Mr ',''),'Dr ',''),'&',''),'.',''),'(',''),')',''),',',''),' ','')+Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Replace(Company,'Limited',''),' Inc',''),' Inc.',''),' Ltd',''),'The ',''),' Plc',''),'&',''),'.',''),'-',''),'(',''),')',''),' ','')

GoldMine Tip: SQL Query summarise outstanding activities (like Phone calls etc) by user

Here's a simple 'SQL Query' for summarising the outstanding Activities (Calls, Appointments and Actions) in your GoldMine system by User Name.  Use it to check on any abnormal large or small amounts to check with your team!

Paste the following into your GoldMine SQL Query Window:

select u.Name,

 (select count(*) from Cal c with (NOLOCK) where left(rectype,1) = 'C' and u.username = c.userid  ) 'Calls',
 (select count(*) from Cal c with (NOLOCK) where left(rectype,1) = 'A' and u.username = c.userid  ) 'Appts',
 (select count(*) from Cal c with (NOLOCK) where left(rectype,1) = 'T' and u.username = c.userid  ) 'Actions'
from users u

GoldMine Tip: Find all Contact Email Addresses with a certain Merge Code

All Email Addresses in GoldMine have a 'Merge Code' related to them.  This is where you can enter a simple code, normally one or two letters that you define, that relates to types of mailings that Contact should receive.

Here's an SQL Query you can run for finding all addresses with a specific code (in this case 'NL')

Select Contact1.Company, Contact1.Contact, Contsupp.contsupref, Contsupp.address2 from Contact1, Contsupp where Contact1.Accountno = Contsupp.Accountno and Contsupp.contact like 'E-mail Address' AND contsupp.mergecodes like '%NL%'

...Just substitute the NL above for your code.

GoldMine Mobile Edition 9.3 released

This new version of GoldMine Mobile Edition provides iPhone and iPad access to the GoldMine E-mail Center, our most frequently-requested enhancement for GMME (GoldMine Mobile Edition) users. Key new features are listed below. For more information regarding this release, please view the release notes and readme documents. Note: GoldMine Mobile Edition 9.3 requires GoldMine Premium Edition 9.2.1.

WHAT'S NEW IN GOLDMINE MOBILE EDITION 9.3

  • The new Mail module provides access to GoldMine's e-mail folders. To use the Mail module, tap on the Mail icon in the tab bar, and then tap on the Inbox, Filed, or Sent folder or subfolders to view the messages.
  • Activity lists have been improved to make it easier to filter your activities by type, or to view activities for another user.
  • GoldMine Mobile Edition now provides an option to remove additional contacts from contact list views, to make it easier to find a primary contact record when there are additional contacts with the same name.
  • GoldMine Mobile now supports Forward and Reply when e-mail messages are read within GoldMine Mobile Edition.
  • E-mail auto-linking enables GoldMine Mobile Edition to save e-mail messages in contact history directly from the server, without any action required for the end user. Auto-linking occurs when a user is logged in to GoldMine Mobile Edition and applies only to messages related to GoldMine contacts.
  • On the Info screen for an Additional Contact, the related Primary Contact is now displayed. Tapping on the related Primary Contact will open the Primary Contact info screen.
  • Troubleshooting is now easier for GoldMine Mobile installations with enhanced event logging.
